Welcome to
the Connection Economy.
Are you invested?
The most valuable currency in your organization isn't on any balance sheet. It's the depth of your relationships and the stories you tell to build them. Sharon helps corporate leaders, teams and association members invest intentionally in both.
“In an economy built on transactions, the leaders who master the art of genuine human connection and who use storytelling to create it hold the most powerful competitive advantage of all.”

We are more connected than ever and more disconnected than ever. T
That gap is costing you.
Your team has email, Zoom, LinkedIn, Slack, and a dozen other tools designed to keep people connected. And yet the data tells a different story.
60% of employees are emotionally detached at work. Not struggling. Not difficult. Just… gone. Present in body, absent in spirit. And nearly 1 in 5 are actively miserable. (Gallup, 2024)
This isn't a technology problem. It isn't a compensation problem. It is a connection problem. And the leaders who solve it, who know how to build real relationships and communicate in ways that move people, will define the next decade of business.
That's the Connection Economy. And the currency that powers it is story.
Before spreadsheets, before strategy decks, before Slack, there were stories. Told around fires, across tables, in classrooms and boardrooms. Stories are how we make sense of the world, how we earn trust, and how we make people feel that they belong.
In the Connection Economy, storytelling isn't a communications tactic. It's a leadership strategy. The leaders who tell real stories, who share where they came from, what they've learned, and why it matters build the kind of trust that no org chart can manufacture and no severance package can replace.
The Investment Strategy
Story builds trust
Vulnerability and being real create psychological safety faster than any team-building exercise.
Story creates belonging
When people see themselves in your story, they stop being an audience and become a community.
Story drives action
Data informs. Logic convinces. Story compels. The leaders who move people lead with narrative first.
Story is how humans have always built connection. It still is.

Leadership
Storyteller.
Born in Nairobi, Kenya, the daughter of Irish immigrants who crossed oceans and built something new, Sharon grew up knowing that stories are how humans reach each other across every divide.
Two decades as a TV journalist, a USO tour to the Persian Gulf, an Olympic torch run, a meeting with a sitting President, and a life that has taken her from East Africa to the White House have given her a storytelling depth that no keynote speaker training can manufacture.
Sharon doesn't just talk about the Connection Economy. She's been living it and investing in it for her entire life.
Sharon delivered a message of strength, hope and resilience. She took my breath away and then gave it back.
